We work one on one. Alex knows what I need to concentrate on and tailors each session to get the best out of me. If I’m full of life one morning we bounce through an energetic session. If I’m feeling sluggish he coaxes the energy into me. I always finish feeling invigorated and ready for the day.

I experienced Alex’s ‘Fit at 50 & Beyond-whole body yoga workout’ at David Lloyd. I found this to be an energising, free-flowing yoga workout which was also fun and allowed members to engage with their body’s mindfully.

I would recommend this class to anyone, no matter how fit or active they presently are, who wants an enjoyable class with gentle movement to improve their body’s flexibility, posture, and muscle tone. I’ll certainly be attending, when my physio practice permits, to complement my ultra-marathon training.

I really enjoy Alex’s classes at the RAC – I run between 20-30 miles a week and the focus on core strength and stretching is a really helpful accompaniment – I have also found that my breathing when I run has got much deeper and more relaxed which I think must be a result of doing yoga.

I think the class suits me too because I prefer working on the postures which are held for a while and require strength and focus, as opposed to the more fluid kinetic sequences. The fact that this class is so early in the morning (by my standards at least) is also a plus because it means I am more awake and alert by the time I get to work.

I have been attending Alex’s classes for a year or so and am extremely happy with the outcome especially as regards to my general fitness and dealing with stress. Alex always considers the participants and their needs and so blends his deep knowledge of different yogic methods to create without fail ‘practices’ (classes /sessions’) that are always stimulating and rewarding. Alex’s classes are excellent for beginners and intermediate ‘yogis’.

His classes are like drinking Pimms, there are no violent or innately difficult moves but afterwards you feel the rewarding effect of having had a work out.
